John Paul Su is a New York-based filmmaker and multi-media artist whose eclectic body of work has been recognized by various national and international award-giving institutions, festivals and media outlets.

Since Su’s entry to the entertainment/visual arts industry, his professional reputation has persistently thrived and not gone unnoticed . He is presently a member of several distinguished industry organizations, including the International Academy of the Visual Arts, Promax USA and the Asian American Arts Alliance.He has also served as a panel judge for the Telly Awards, the Asia and Europe Promax Awards, and the New York City Urban Artist Initiaive, among others .

Before venturing into filmmaking, Su was an accomplished multimedia business communication specialist in the Philippines. He is a two-time-recipient of the coveted national IABC (International Association of Business Communicators) Gold Quill Awards for his two major communication initiatives.

John Paul Su was born and raised in Manila, Philippines. He was educated at De La Salle University Manila where he graduated with dual Bachelors degrees in the Arts and Sciences, specializing in Communication Arts and Advertising Management, respectively. In 2003, he moved to New York to pursue a career in film and television.

Recently, Su added more career awards as the Webby Awards, the New York Festivals TV and Film Awards,and the Telly Awards, among others, bestowed him with their 2009 honors.

Su is currently back in Asia undertaking his Master of Fine Arts degree in Film and Television Production at the prestigious New York University, Tisch School of the Arts Asia in Singapore.
